Center for Health and Aging (CHA)
The mission of the Center for Health and Aging (CHA) is to facilitate constructive dialogue between science, industry, and policy and conduct research that highlights unique opportunities to improve health through creative policy and cross-sector collaboration.
Our current focus includes research on the life sciences sector in Asia—particularly in China and Japan—and its impact on health innovation and international relations.
History
Founded in 2004 to examine the 21st century’s unprecedented demographic and epidemiological transitions, the Center for Health and Aging tackles a wide variety of projects and initiatives, including founding and organizing the Pacific Health Summit between 2005 and 2012.
In addition to the Summit, CHA has also organized major cross-sector meetings in Beijing, Tokyo, Singapore, Mumbai, London, and Washington, D.C., and has served a unique role in bringing together leaders from science, industry, medicine, public health, and government to focus on the world’s most important health challenges. Core themes have included vaccines, pandemics, demographic shifts, health technology, nutrition, and infectious disease.
In conjunction with its role as a "trusted convener," CHA has developed a library of policy case studies, expert interviews, reports, and white papers that inform crucial discussions among the world’s leaders in both the public and private sectors.
