Nicholas N. Eberstadt is Henry Wendt Chair in Political
Economy at the American Enterprise Institute, Visiting Fellow at
the Harvard Center for Population and Development Studies, and
Senior Research Associate at The National Bureau of Asian
Research. Dr. Eberstadt is a specialist on problems of Korean
reunification and its meaning for the United States. His many
works on the subject include the book Korea Approaches
Reunification (1995), and numerous articles, including a recent
piece in Foreign Affairs on U.S. policy regarding reunification.
Dr. Eberstadt has served as consultant to the Departments of
State and Defense, the U.S. Information Agency, the Census
Bureau, the Congressional Budget Office and the World Bank. Dr.
Eberstadt earned his PhD in political economy and government
from Harvard University.
