East Asia in Crisis: Conference Report
NBR and the Strategic Studies Institute of the U.S. Army War College convened an extraordinary group of senior business executives, area specialists, economists, policymakers, and military officials to discuss the unfolding economic crisis in East Asia. Throughout the two-day conference, these experts addressed the impact of the crisis on national and international economic institutions, politics, and security considerations. All of these changes have significant implications for the leadership of the United States in the Asia-Pacific. The conference was held on June 9-10, 1998, in Seattle, Washington, at the Bell Harbor International Conference Center.
