Strategic Asia 2010-11 Book Launch Event

On September 29, 2010, NBR hosted the book launch for Strategic Asia 2010-2011: Asia's Rising Power and America's Continued Purpose at Johns Hopkins University-SAIS in Washington, D.C.

Kurt M. Campbell, Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs, gave the keynote address followed by a question and response session with the audience. The second portion of the program featured a panel discussion with five of the new volume’s authors. Ashley J. Tellis of Carnegie Endowment for International Peace; Peter A. Petri of Brandeis University; Abraham M. Denmark of the Center for a New American Security; Nicholas Eberstadt of the American Enterprise Institute; and Charles D. Ferguson of the Federation of American Scientists made presentations moderated by NBR’s Roy Kamphausen.
