Business Practices in Developing Countries

On December 1, 2010, the Slade Gorton International Policy Center at NBR hosted a roundtable discussion with John Stanton, Chairman of Trilogy International Partners, and former U.S. Senator Slade Gorton to discuss business practices in developing countries.

John Stanton, former CEO of T-Mobile, is a wireless industry pioneer, co-founding three top 10 wireless operators in the United States in the last 25 years.

Mr. Stanton is currently working to develop affordable wireless phone networks, mobile banking, and systems for timely disaster alerts and relief notifications in many developing nations worldwide.

Attending the discussion were non-profit executives, civic and business leaders, and representatives from several international aid organizations.
