Gorton Center Discussion Series Presents: U.S. Energy Policy

Strategic Priorities & Perspectives

The Slade Gorton International Policy Center hosted a roundtable discussion with featured guest U.S. Senator Lisa Murkowski, a leading advocate for renovating “antiquated” U.S. energy trade policy.

Senator Murkowski, a third-generation Alaskan, is the ranking member on the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee; and also serves on the Senate Appropriations Committee, where she is the ranking Republican on the Interior and Environment Subcommittee. Her other committee assignments include the Senate Health, Education, Labor & Pensions Committee and the Indian Affairs Committee.

U.S. Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-AK)

On September 22, NBR and the Henry M. Jackson Foundation hosted a launch for the 2011 Energy Security Report featuring remarks by Senator Lisa Murkowski on Asia’s approach to energy security and implications for U.S. policymaking. Learn more and watch event video.
