The 9/11 Commission: A New Report for a New Decade

On February 9, 2015, the Slade Gorton International Policy Center held a roundtable discussion with former 9/11 Commissioners Jamie Gorelick and Slade Gorton. They discussed the updated policy recommendations released a few months ago by the 9/11 Commission.

Jamie Gorelick was a member of the 9/11 Commission. Prior to her service on the 9/11 Commission, Jamie served as Deputy Attorney General of the United States and as General Counsel for the U.S. Department of Defense. She is currently a partner in the law firm of WilmerHale in Washington, D.C.

Senator Slade Gorton was the first permanent appointment to the 9/11 Commission. Previously Slade served for three terms in the U.S. Senate, three terms as Washington State Attorney General, and five terms in the Washington State House of Representatives. Slade is currently Counselor at The National Bureau of Asian Research.
