First Response: International Disaster Relief in a Changing World


On April 6, 2016, the Slade Gorton International Policy Center hosted a panel discussion on how American NGOs and the military respond to crises around the world, with a particular emphasis on disaster relief and mitigation in the Asia-Pacific region. The panel discussed the implementation of disaster management strategies and the lessons learned from their experiences. The panel was moderated by former U.S. Senator Slade Gorton.
