NBR Summer Seminar 2023
Overview
China poses an unprecedented challenge for the United States and the liberal international order. The challenge spans multiple dimensions from security, human rights, and technological leadership to global values and governance. To better understand China’s capabilities, strategic culture, international influence, global ambitions, strengths, and weaknesses, and to formulate effective policy, the United States needs to cultivate a new generation of experts and policymakers. NBR holds the annual Summer Seminar to help prepare this generation as well as augment the knowledge of more senior professionals.
The 2023 Summer Seminar is interdisciplinary. Its guest faculty include high-level military and government leaders, business entrepreneurs, and premier academics in the fields of foreign policy, international relations, history, economics, and foreign areas studies. Site visits will be conducted to military bases, consulates, and other policy hubs in the greater Seattle area and will allow participants to meet with practitioners and officials whose daily work affects policy toward Asia.
The NBR Summer Seminar offers a unique, comprehensive curriculum and unparalleled access to leading experts. The goal is to provide an understanding of the salient issues of strategic importance to the United States. Don’t miss this extraordinary opportunity to enhance your knowledge and network. Apply now!
