Jeremy Rausch is Director, Political and Security Affairs, at NBR. Mr. Rausch leads and manages NBR’s annual PLA Conference and the PLA Executive Education Course, as well as the John M. Shalikashvili Chair in National Security Studies. In addition, Mr. Rausch also provides outreach, logistical planning, proofreading, and fact-checking support for NBR’s monthly President’s Circle dialogue.
Prior to joining NBR, Mr. Rausch was an intern at the Office of Governor Ned Lamont in Hartford, CT, and an undergraduate research fellow at Union College focusing on U.S.-China technology competition, weaponized decoupling, and global supply chains.
Mr. Rausch is currently a graduate student at the George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs, intending to receive a master’s degree in Asian Studies with a concentration in international security policy and China regional studies. His research interests include China’s foreign and security policy, the People’s Liberation Army, U.S. military strategy in the Indo-Pacific, and East Asian security.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in Chinese language and culture and political science from Union College, where he also played on the men’s soccer team. Mr. Rausch speaks Spanish with native fluency and Mandarin Chinese.
