“Assessing U.S.-Korea Trade and Business Dynamics” with Nigel Cory, Tami Overby, and Doug Strub

On September 16, 2025, NBR held its thirty-first President’s Circle dialogue with special guests Nigel Cory (NBR Nonresident Fellow and Director at Crowell Global Advisors), Tami Overby (NBR Advisor and Partner at DGA-Albright Stonebridge Group), and Doug Strub (NBR Senior Director for Research and Programs).

NBR President Michael Wills led a discussion with the three guests on the economic outlook for the U.S.–South Korea bilateral trade relationship. Cory, Overby, and Strub shared insights on key issues on which they had engaged with government, civil society, and industry leaders on a recent trip to South Korea. They discussed a range of issues—including digital regulation, competition policy, and the critical need for supply chain resilience—and offered recommendations for U.S. and South Korean industry leaders navigating the evolving policy landscape.
