Beyond Policy: A Celebration of Korean Culture and U.S.-Korea Relations


On February 26, 2025, the National Bureau of Asian Research (NBR) convened Congressional staff and other Washington policy professionals at the Samsung Solutions Center on Capitol Hill to foster deeper understanding and collaboration on critical issues in U.S.-Korea relations.

Attendees representing a diverse cross-section of the U.S. government, think tanks, academia, and private industry engaged in robust networking while enjoying a curated selection of Korean-inspired culinary delights and refreshing beverages. Beyond the networking, participants experienced firsthand Samsung’s innovative business technology, highlighting potential applications for government and cross-sector collaboration. NBR President Michael Wills and Samsung Senior Director of Government Relations Kevin O’Hanlon delivered remarks, underscoring the importance of continued dialogue and cooperation between the United States and Korea in an increasingly complex global landscape. The event served as a crucial platform for building relationships and advancing policy discussions relevant to U.S.-Korea relations.
