Economic Impact of the Covid-19 Outbreak on Developing Asia
On April 29, 2020, NBR moderated a virtual discussion with Meredith Miller, Principal for Albright Stonebridge Group, and Dr. Yasuyuki Sawada, Chief Economist of the Asian Development Bank, on how the Covid-19 pandemic is severely impacting Southeast Asian economies.
“Dr. Sawada presented all the facts and statistics in a very current format, and Meredith Miller was extremely informative as well. The fact that this discussion brought together some 45 participants from four time zones, ranging from Washington, D.C., to Manila, made this event particularly rewarding. As an NBR Chairman’s Council member, I look forward to future events of this caliber in the ever-changing Indo-Pacific theater.”
