Fern is a Project Associate with the Technology and Geoeconomic Affairs team at NBR. She is completing a BA in global and regional studies at the University of Washington with a focus on East Asia and will be graduating Spring 2025 with a minor in Chinese language and interdisciplinary honors. Fern has spent time learning Mandarin in Taipei, Taiwan, at National Taiwan University and is also a Cybersecurity Fellow in the Henry M. Jackson School’s International Policy Initiative. She is interested in the intersection of technology and geopolitics in East Asia.
