Slade Gorton: A Half Century in Politics by John Hughes is a co-published work with the Slade Gorton Policy Center and the Washington State Heritage Center. The 400-page biography of Senator Gorton covers his family history, his early life, his years in the Washington State Legislature, his three terms as Washington State Attorney General, his three terms as U.S. Senator, and his post-Senate career, including his time on the 9/11 Commission.
